Jamaican national to appear in court charged with murder

A Jamaican national is expected to appear before an Arima Magistrates' Court charged for the murder of his landlord Dominic Houlier Almerales on May 9th.
Police said the 29-year-old suspect was arrested last Friday in Arima and was charged on Wednesday evening after instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Police are, however, looking for two other suspects - another Jamaican and a Venezuelan in connection with the same incident.
Almerales, 37, was shot and killed when he went to his Temple Street, Arima, property to confront tenants for their rent monies owed.
Almerales' wife, Desiree Sparkle Layne, 39, was also wounded that day. She was shot in the leg and shoulder.
